A typical Day at Bungalow Bairns

At Bungalow Bairns, every day is filled with fun, learning, and exploration. I provide a balanced routine that nurtures your child’s development while ensuring they feel safe, happy, and engaged. Here’s a glimpse into what a typical day looks like:

Morning Welcome & Settling In
(7:30 AM – 8:15 AM)

A great big welcoming hello as children arrive, helping them settle into the day with familiar toys and free play.

A chance to catch up with parents about their child’s mood, routines, or any special needs for the day.

 (8:15 AM – 9:00 AM)

I walk children to and from school or nursery, making the journey fun and safe while encouraging conversations and road safety awareness.

(11:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Daily outdoor time in my secure garden or local parks, supporting physical development and a love for nature. Activities include:

🏃 Obstacle courses and ball games for motor skills

🌼 Gardening and exploring nature

🧺 Picnics and sensory play

(2:00 PM – 3:15 PM)

I walk* to collect children from school or nursery, offering a friendly and familiar face to greet them after their school day.

The walk home includes chats about their day, fresh air, and a chance to wind down.

*we can take the car if the weather is poor.

(5:00 PM – 5:45 PM)

Weather permitting, more time to explore outdoors or enjoy a final group story or song session.

Children help tidy up, learning responsibility and teamwork.

 (9:00 AM – 9:30 AM)

A nutritious breakfast such as porridge, toast, or fruit with milk or water.

We enjoy our meals together, encouraging good manners and social skills.

(12:00 PM – 12:45 PM)

A homemade, nutritious meal such as spaghetti bolognese, soup with bread, or chicken wraps.

We enjoy lunch together, making it a time for social interaction and learning about healthy eating.

(3:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
